Sustainable Weight Loss

For centuries, weight loss and diabetes problems have been growing into a health disease of global consequences despite significant efforts in research, nutrition and fitness fields in the last 500+ years (!!).

The science of biomechanics is the study of biological systems and mechanical principles that govern the human body, highlighting the importance of motion mechanics to the optimal functioning of energy metabolism.

Instead of creating a new diet and exercise program, I studied the energy flow in human bodies, also called bioenergetics. I understood the integrated functioning of energy metabolism and movement mechanics to burn fat, achieve sustainable weight loss, and avoid caloric restrictions.

My research findings indicate that any fitness, health and wellness intervention must consider the effects of mechanical forces, also known as musculoskeletal actions, on biological processes (e.g., energy metabolism) occurring within the human body. Historically, targeting metabolic energy rate exclusively has proven to produce irrefutable evidence of unsuccessful results from nutrition and dieting plans dating back to the 17th century.
The study of bioenergetics revealed that the energy metabolism of the human body has an anatomically recognized function (e.g., fat oxidation) to burn calories and achieving effective FA-ox rate is subject to meeting body movement requirements which are not widely practiced in clinical and fitness settings.

About lenny

Lenny Levin, the founder of Wellness and Beyond, raised a question why the current concepts of the injury treatment and exercise protocols are failing to produce successful results. This quest led him into the area of functional movement and he discovered that the basic principles of the science of human movement and functional anatomy had been neglected. Lenny set out on the mission 12 years ago to define and develop scientifically sound injury assessment and exercise protocols for keeping the human body fit and healthy. He created functional movement training programs for injury treatment, fitness, sports and physical activities. Lenny has been practicing his findings for the last 8 years and they are producing successful outcomes.
